Objective: Hospitals are a high-risk setting for vaccine-preventable diseases such as hepatitis A and B, mumps, measles, rubella (MMR), and chickenpox. Therefore, it is necessary to ensure the protection of seronegative adolescent students in health vocational high schools. This study aimed to determine the seroprevalence of hepatitis A, hepatitis B, MMR and chickenpox in health vocational high school students interning at a tertiary training and research hospital. Material and Methods: Demographic characteristics and hepatitis B surface antibody (anti-HBs), hepatitis A immunoglobulin G (anti-HAV IgG), mumps IgG, measles IgG, rubella IgG, and varicella zoster virus (VZV) IgG levels of health vocational high school students who applied for or completed an internship in our hospital were analyzed retrospectively. Results: Of 946 students with complete routine childhood vaccination (median age 17 years, range 15-18 years; 75.7% female), anti-HBs was positive in 82.6%, anti-HAV IgG in 14.7%, measles IgG in 76.2%, mumps IgG in 88%, rubella IgG in 96.8%, and VZV IgG in 91.7%. There was a statistically significant but negligible positive correlation between anti-HBs level and age (r= 0.072, p= 0.029). There was no difference in the seroprevalence of anti-HBs, anti-HAV, MMR, or VZV antibodies by gender (p> 0.05). Conclusion: The seroprevalence of hepatitis A, measles, and hepatitis B antibodies was found to be low among the health vocational high school students in this study. education is a process that endures in the lives of human beings from cradle to grave. However, conventional educational methods do not provide enough real- life experiences. Therefore, the significance of the educational approach of the famous American pedagogue John Dewey is increasing. A vocational school is a type of school that provides practical education rather than theory. In this context, the purpose of this chapter is to raise social awareness among students by allowing them to participate in social life. Students employed this project under the umbrella of improving their feelings of moral and cultural values. The study is qualitative, longitudinal, and comparatively validates students’ attitudes towards their vocational education . Data analysis was collected through observation, student interviews, and the researcher’s diary. The findings of the study indicated that students applied what they found out about their profession by rehearsing their future professional lives outside the classroom walls in an attempt to shed some light on their learning process. © 2025 by IGI Global Scientific Publishing. The total quality management standards in vocational training and education are crucial for reforming the vocational training system to overcome the shortage of skilled labour in the domestic labour market and diversify the country’s income by exporting surplus labour to foreign markets. To support economic growth, especially in priority sectors, it is necessary to adhere to total quality management standards in vocational Training and education (used in the process of Institutional and Program Accreditation of educational institutions in Libya and Algeria). The article investigates the compliance of vocational training and education in Algeria with these standards (based on the example of the Center for vocational Training and Apprenticeship “Ould Cheikh El Arabi” in Relizane). The solution to this research problem is relevant, among other things, because, thanks to regulated state programs in such sectors as construction, public works and agriculture, the Algerian government has allowed construction and contracting companies to hire foreign labour from China, Turkey, Egypt and other countries, which has led to an increase in unemployment in the domestic labour market. That is why it is relevant to identify why the Algerian labour market cannot provide qualified labour to meet the needs of supplier companies and contractors. The study is based on the survey of a random sample of 150 students, 40.43% of the total number of students enrolled at the Centre. To ensure the clarity and coherence of the questionnaire, a preliminary study was conducted with a random selection of 25 students, eliminating linguistic and methodological imbalances. 6 expert reviewers confirmed the validity of the questionnaire content. Reliability was confirmed using Cronbach’s alpha test. The questionnaire’s content is structured according to five main criteria contained in the Total Quality Management Standards in vocational Training and education , each consisting of a set of indicators and measures to assess the fulfilment degree of the criterion. They evaluate the quality of educational and training programs (6 paragraphs), the quality of teaching staff (6 paragraphs), the quality of students’ affairs (8 paragraphs), the management quality of the educational institution (9 paragraphs), and the quality of structures and services (10 paragraphs). During the questionnaire, students expressed their opinion on the importance of a particular criterion using a five-step Likert scale. Based on the results, the arithmetic means, and standard deviations of the degree of students’ approval of the importance and fulfilment degree of each criterion as a whole and its individual paragraphs were calculated. The influence of these criteria on the dependent variable − the quality of training − was assessed using the Pearson correlation matrix. Based on the study results, several recommendations have been investigated to improve the quality management efficiency of training and education at the Centre. © 2024 by the author.

In response to the evolving job responsibilities driven by the upgrading of enterprise production lines, this study proposes a framework for developing modular courses based on finite element technology. Initially, the teaching content was designed in alignment with industry demands. Subsequently, geometric and finite element models were established based on the operational principles of production line detection systems. Third, numerical calculations yielded visual resources, exemplified by Mises stress plots and displacement (U) plots. These visual aids facilitated the creation of a modular curriculum, which was implemented through teaching experiments followed by comprehensive evaluations. Results indicate that the modular course effectively enables students to grasp the operational principles, procedural workflows, and mechanical performance assessments of detection systems. By incorporating digital materials and interactive teaching methods, student engagement and motivation were significantly enhanced. This approach allows vocational colleges to better adapt to the changing needs of enterprises, thereby developing more effective modular courses that cultivate high-quality skilled personnel. © 2024 IEEE.

The development of geographic information industry urgently needs more talents with high quality and strong technical skills as support. However, in teaching, scientific research and other aspects, teachers are unable to effectively solve problems and transform results based on industrial development, which leads to the mismatch between the training of surveying and mapping geographic information talents and the development needs of the industry. Problem-solving skills empower students to deal with challenges efficiently, think critically, and craft effective solutions. This translates to their academic success and fosters their adaptability, resilience, and critical thinking, all required to thrive in the ever-changing professional world. This study investigates the effectiveness of guided discovery and scaffolding strategies in enhancing problem-solving skills among students in Physics courses in Saudi technical and vocational colleges. Those pedagogical strategies aim to create higher-order thinking skills required for problem-solving within technical and science education , as well as in the professional life that the students must live after leaving college. Correspondingly, we designed a quasi-experiment with a pre- and post-intervention assessment involving 104 students enrolled in a Physics course within a technical diploma program. The results indicated a significant difference in students' problem-solving skills between those instructed in the traditional teaching condition and those who received guided discovery and scaffolding strategies as major instructional components. The findings suggest that guided discovery and scaffolding improve students' problem-solving skills and promote their engagement and motivation to develop effective solutions. This study contributes to developing existing literature on successful teaching strategies in technical and science education . It also provides practical implications for educators seeking to establish problem-solving competencies among students. © 2024 University of Helsinki. All rights reserved.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is an essential component of today's security systems, especially in intrusion detection systems that use AI to analyze images and signals from closed- circuit television (CCTV) cameras and sensors, which will increase detection accuracy and reduce human errors. Therefore, vocational education must be developed in line with the advancement of AI technology to better prepare students for careers in related industries. However, the current challenge is that vocational education needs to fully integrate AI technology, primarily due to the lack of appropriate learning materials and understanding of the application of AI in security systems. This study aims to create a practical AI security system learning kit for intrusion detection to teach students practical skills in AI-driven security systems in real-world scenarios. A total of 20 vocational students were recruited for the experiment study. The results showed that the students had high-practical skills and positive attitudes after using the learning kit. © 2024 IEEE.

vocational universities play a crucial role in shaping a well-prepared workforce for various industries' demands. They Integrate local wisdom into English teaching and learning, bringing cultural relevance and a deeper sense of identity to students’ educational experiences. This research aimed to find out the lecturers and student point of view about implementing local wisdom-based English teaching and learning in vocational universities. The research question was how to implement local wisdom-based English teaching and learning in vocational universities from the lecturer's and students' point of view. It used descriptive qualitative research by using content analysis. Data were collected by using the interview method using validated interview questions. It was also analyzed using content analysis and social discourse of critical discourse analysis from Fairclough. It shows that there are several lecturers' and student perceptions about the implementation of local wisdom-based English teaching and learning in vocational universities, such as motivation for students, impact on language proficiency, enhanced student engagement, tailored teaching strategies, challenging in standardization, relevance to the local context, facilitating cross-cultural understanding, cultural preservation, community development and professional development. There are some significances of the research. This research can give lecturers a new paradigm or best practices for teaching English and learning in vocational universities. This research can give the students a new learning process for English learning.
