This study aims to determine the implementation of the internship information system application in vocational high school (VHS), measure the effectiveness of the internship information system application in VHS and determine the appropriateness of the internship information system application as media in VHS. Research conducted at VHS of Muhammadiyah Prambanan uses quantitative approach with a descriptive method. Samples were taken using a random sampling technique. Data collection techniques used were observation and questionnaires where the data are analysed using descriptive analysis and quantitative data analysis. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of internship information system by 73%. The level of effectiveness of internship information system applications, including both categories. The details are quality systems 72%, the quality of information 74%, quality of service 70% user satisfaction 71% and profit 70% as well as the application of internship information system fit for use as a media internship services with the percentage of the effectiveness of the application of internship information system by 71% and internship service by 72%. © 2020 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
