In response to the current situation that some Chinese university teacher-training graduates lack practical teaching experience and have serious deficiencies in teaching skills, the research group built a teaching skills micro-teaching training and evaluation platform on the Internet, and conducted a 12-week teaching skills comparison experiment during the teaching internship of 193 senior year teacher-training students. The experimental group adopted an online micro-teaching training mode, invited famous teachers to give online lectures on teaching skills, showed famous teachers' courseware and teaching evaluation videos, guided students to actively carry out simulation micro-teaching and upload teaching videos, and received timely online evaluation and guidance from teachers and classmates. The post-test includes 17 teaching skills in 4 categories such as "lesson plan design, teaching methods, basic teaching skills and teaching effect"and so on, and the average score for the experimental group was 91, which was 38% higher than the pre-test; while the average score for the control group with only offline practice mode was 75 points, which was only 14% higher. The experiment found that online micro-teaching training and positive peer assessment were effective ways to develop teacher trainees' teaching skills. © 2021 ACM.
