The digital transformation of the labour market has significantly challenged the traditional functions of labour law and increased the need for proactive legal and policy frameworks to support and empower young people.In the context of the structural transformations brought about by the development of the digital economy and the spread of flexible employment models, this study examines the strategic importance of dual education and digital skills in preparing young people for the contemporary labour market in Albania. Through a combined theoretical and empirical analysis, including a survey conducted with over 200 young people from various cities across the country, the study identifies perceptions, challenges, and expectations related to labour market integration, as well as gaps in the current education system and legal framework. The findings underscore the need for comprehensive reforms that promote dual education, the sustainable development of digital skills, and the alignment of national legislation with European Union standards to ensure equal protection and real employment opportunities for young people. The study offers concrete recommendations for policymakers and institutional actors, aiming to build an inclusive, fair, and future-ready labour market capable of responding to the challenges of the digital era. © 2025 Sindi Agalliu Caushi and Xhenis Sina.
