In the article, the author considers the current trends in the development of students’ project activities in modern education. The solution of modern problems is based on the further development of new ways of thinking, practice-oriented competencies of students. The requirements of modern society for the formation of students’ competencies of teamwork, the development of skills for successful work in conditions of resource constraints are analyzed. The increased volume of world scientific literature on the problems of the introduction of innovative technologies, project forms of teaching in educational programs confirms the relevance of the research topic. The development of innovative production projects, educational technologies that not only connect learning with real life, but also actively develop the creative independent activity of bachelors, becomes relevant. The difficulties of implementing practice-oriented project-based training of students in teams under the guidance of mentors-teachers of the technical university are revealed. The need for the development of critical and inventive thinking of students, the ability to work in a team, the need to expand the thematic focus of promising projects for the younger generation in the education system is justified, the potential relevance of the proposed projects for solving real problems of business partners of the technical university using project training is considered. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.
