International Journal of Engineering Education
Journal · Vol. 39 · Issue 6 · pp. 1343-1357
Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) are required subjects of Information Technology Literacy in a new curriculum required by the Ministry of Education in Taiwan requires. A few people have discussed the integration of teaching methods and curriculum design, the difficulties of teaching practice, and the assessment of the approach. This study aims to explore. The impact of the integration on students’ leaning satisfaction, problem-solving ability, and interest in taking further AI courses. Participating students were divided into an experimental group with 101 students and a control group with 99 students. MANCOVA statistics were used to analysis the data collected related to academic achievement. The results showed that the scores of students in all aspects examined with the curriculum integration of AI, Machine Learning, and Big Data were significantly higher than those of the control group. © 2023 TEMPUS Publications.
