Virtual Reality Powered Training for Industrial New Joiners

Abstract

Nowadays people are well-practiced in virtual modes due to these covid situations. Not only education but also many other areas are moved into virtual mode. One such area is industries, institutions, and hospitals where they train the people as freshers. Like online education, the training programs can also be brought up into virtual mode by implementing Virtual Reality. Virtual Reality is a technology where people can interact with 3D environments virtually. Virtual Training helps to reduce errors and increases the speed and quality of the training. where many joiners can be trained at a time. Through virtual mode, the new joiners can practically implement the training. This training environment can be designed as per the user's requirement and can be implemented in any sector. Using the Android app, higher authorities may monitor a fresher's training level to improve their everyday activities. Usually, when a group of new joiners is recruited, some people need to be with freshers to make them trained during their internship period. To avoid the requirement of people for the training, we have designed a virtual training system for the industry using Virtual Reality which provides a complete hands-on training experience to the freshers to make them practically equipped. This application ensures safety (avoids minor accidents) with virtual guide assistance to the freshers in a 3D-virtual space. © The Institution of Engineering & Technology 2023.
