The continuous assessment of the provided tourism education and training is beneficial and should be offered according to ever-changing industry needs. The current study’s main objective is to evaluate the Greek tourism education provided by Greek institutions at all levels (industry needs and employee training). Examinations of the experiences of a high number (n = 645) of employers (hoteliers, travel agents, etc.) and employees, as both are aware of the specific needs of the industry and how education and training respond to these, are presented in the current study. According to the study’s main findings, there is an average satisfaction from the provided education; however, restructuring the curricula is required, emphasizing soft skills and new technologies. The study provides valuable insights and recommendations to professionals, policymakers, and academics for improvements in the Greek tourism industry, thereby enlightening them on the current state and potential enhancements of the industry. © 2024 ICHRIE.
