Industry and academia have a vital yet complex relationship beyond producing graduates. Continuing education, technology transfer, equipment and resource provision, academic advisory boards, and research partnerships are some of its aspects. However, these relationships are often ad-hoc, unsustainable, and fragmented. To address this gap, capturing both partners’ perspectives, identifying valuable aspects and obstacles, and developing principles and best practices are crucial.
