Research on the Evaluation Model for Professional Group Construction in the Context of AHP Algorithm and Service Industry Development

Abstract

This study focuses on the innovative pathway for constructing service industry professional clusters, systematically exploring the construction steps of this model and its practical application in promoting the development of service industry professional clusters. The research begins with a comprehensive review of relevant literature from both domestic and international sources, effectively demonstrating the urgency and strategic significance of strengthening the construction of service industry professional clusters.Building on this foundation, the study integrates the logic of professional cluster configuration with the essence of value co-creation theory to enhance the effectiveness of cluster construction. Utilizing Delphi expert consultation and Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), a carefully designed”production-specialization bidirectional” assessment model is developed, which includes key dimensions. These dimensions cover six main indicators: professional cluster configuration, talent cultivation, faculty teams, educational innovation, industry-academia cooperation, and social services. It further breaks down into sixteen secondary indicators and fifty-three tertiary refined indicators, forming a matrix for evaluating professional cluster”production-specialization bidirectional” indicators in higher vocational colleges.The research emphasizes principles such as demand-driven approaches, prioritizing quality, and focusing on outcomes, aiming to correct potential deviations between industry demands and vocational education. Through qualitative and quantitative analyses, it explores the construction of a measurement system that can assess professional competitiveness (e.g., cluster characteristics, adequacy of practical training bases, and rationality of professional structure) and evaluate industrial attractiveness (including industrial planning orientation, effectiveness of industrial support, and closeness of occupational positioning). This bidirectional evaluation mechanism aims to provide scientific decision-making support for the priority development, maintenance of advantages, structural adjustments, and establishment of new professional clusters. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).
