This study examines the relationship between school-to-work transition (STWT) programmes and job outcomes in Bhutan. The goal is to evaluate STWT and the job outcomes of past interns of the programme. It employs a mixed method using the Kirkpatrick model and outcome harvesting technique. A total of 152 sample sizes have been selected using the survey monkey sample size calculator. The respondents are selected based on purposive sampling from STWT programmes conducted in Bhutan over three years, 2021, 2022 and 2023, to represent diversity. The study used semi-structured questionnaires to obtain quantitative data, and one-to-one interviews were conducted with eight respondents to obtain qualitative data. The findings indicate that the majority of participants feel that STWT is helpful for raising social standing, strengthening practical skills and increasing employability. In addition, the research considers participant recommendations for enhancements to the programme, including issues with programme length, allowances and direction. The effects of STWT programmes on participants’ employability, social standing and practical skills are highlighted by this research. The study aims to improve the effectiveness of STWT programmes in supporting career development and practical skill upgrading within the context of Bhutan.
