Transfer of vocational education and training (VET) from Europe to emerging countries seems to be much oriented towards dual apprenticeships, even in countries where the dual apprenticeship itself is not so present. Most European countries, as well as other parts of the world, aim to strengthen dual apprenticeships. Furthermore, the “strong” dual apprenticeship countries like Germany, Austria and Switzerland are today reforming their VET systems in order to keep the dual apprenticeship system as an important provider in relation to academic and general education.
