The model degree programme Speech and Language Therapy is offered by the University of Applied Sciences for Health in Bochum. It is a new way academic programme for speech and language therapists. The Bachelor of Science in Speech Therapy (oder Logopaedia) is completed in 3.5 years and leads to the professional license in Speech Therapy. The degree offers a critical use of evidence-based practice in speech intervention or language disorders and cooperation with professional health services. New academic degree programmes with hands-on professional vocational training are developed and evaluated. The main goal is to provide a strong link between vocational training, research and practical experience.
